Website Pricing:

Our basic pricing begins at 595.00 for a five page website.  That's five "navigational pages" for your site like you see at the top of this webpage itself.  In our case, we have seven main navigation pages as you can see listed below.

This will be the "navigational structure" of your website.  They're sometimes referred to as PARENT pages.  Each one of those pages, can have links to any number of other pages.  Likewise, those are referred to as CHILD pages.  They are under the PARENT pages...just like a family.  It can get as complicated as you want it to from there.

Additional PARENT pages are 100.00 each.  You can have as many of these as you want or need but basically you should be able to keep it under some easy structure of 5-8 main parent pages.  Again, each need will be different and we'll be glad to discuss it with you further via phone or in person.  Using our site again as an example, our seven pages would cost 795.00 to build. 

We require a 250.00 deposit before we begin.  Final payment in full is due once your website is completed and posted online.  We may be able to make other arrangements depending on your personal needs.  Feel free to ask if you desire something different.

Additional Info you should know:

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your website and your purchase with us.  We'll need to talk with you, via phone or in person, to get some ideas about what you need and what you are looking for regarding your own website.  I have a small list of questions I'd like to ask and from our discussions I should be able to get some ideas of what you're looking for.  It helps if you will make note of some of your favorite websites before you contact us.  Seeing what you like gives us a good indication of what we can do that might appeal to you.  This can be based on the color scheme of a particular website, the layout and design of that site and numerous other things that catch your attention.

We require a small deposit to begin work on your site.  Once that is received we'll begin work on building the basic layout structure, navigation, headers and graphics which for us is one of the most time consuming parts.  Normally, within a few days, we'll post that online for you to view.  Once we have your approval, we'll start adding the information and materials to develop and complete your personalized website.  Final payments will be due at that time in full or via prior payment arrangements that we've agreed upon.

Domain Names:

You may already have a website or at least a registered domain name.  The domain name is your world wide web address better known as your "www.yourname.com" name.  All websites have one.  If you don't have one selected already, we'll help you secure it.  Based on your name or your company name, we can research the availability of that name or something similar that you can purchase. 

You will purchase your domain name on a yearly basis.  Once it's registered, no one else will be able to purchase or use that same name.  It's exclusively yours for the duration.  Most people renew their domain name each year for a small fee depending on the company that its registered with.  The fee can vary from 10.00 to 50.00 or even more depending on the "registrar" company.  No sense in paying the higher fees since they are all listed with the same source in the end which of course is whey we use the cheapest company we can find in efforts to help you save money.

Hosting Your Website With Us"

Well, it's not exactly with US....it's with the company we use.  Hosting fee's are even more varied than registering domain names.  Fees can go from "free" for ad sponsored websites up into huge sums of money depending on your need.

For the sites we figure we will build, a very basic hosting package is all you will need.  This will allow for most static type web pages without a need for large amounts of bandwith or storage space.  The average site we build we be about 5-8 main navigational pages with up to 100 or even more web pages.  They have a way of "growing" once you start but that's the fun of it.  Even with 100 pages filled with text, graphics and photos, our average hosting package will meet your needs.

If you want to add video or audio to your site, you'll of course need a larger hosting package.  Again, it's basically what your personal needs are for your site and we'll be happy to discuss that with you at your convenience.

For Example:

Currently, we pay 10.00 a year to keep the domain name of BIG STEVE DID IT.  We also pay a monthly fee of about 5.00 to keep it online for others to see.  That's 70.00 per year to keep our website showing up on the world wide web.  Yours will probably be the same.  We don't try to make money off of hosting and domain names.  When you allow us to host your site, it makes it easier to maintain it along with the other sites we have up and running.  Our hosting company has been very stable thus far.  We've experienced hardly any downtime at all.  It has been known to happen but not very often.  Your site should be online over 99.99% of the time according to them.

Photos:

We will include up to 20 photos in your website.  That's included in your original purchase price.  You may not need that many...or..you may need more.  Many times we can use photos that you provide us.  If feasible, we can also come out to your place of business and take photos for you as needed.  We'll discuss that as we go along.

What if you need more?  Some websites will have a PHOTO GALLERY of pictures.  If you need more than 20 pictures in your website, we will need to work on a per picture or per page basis to determine a final fee for those.  Quality is important to us and many times we will spend hours working on one photo to make it look better.  That often times includes taking out power lines or other things that might distract from your picture.  Typically this is done on the "up to 20 pictures" that will make up your basic site.  If you just need to add personal photos into a photo gallery, this much detail isn't usually needed.

Also, in order to make your webpages "load faster" when someone visits your website; each picture is "optimized" to make it download quicker.  For most folks that use a DSL type connection to the internet, it's hardly noticeable at all as your pictures will load very quickly.  There are still some folks that have dial up connections though and making your pages load as quickly as possible may determine whether they stick around long enough to see your website or not once they've found you.

Are there any hidden charges?

While there aren't any hidden charges, please understand that each website is different and will have different needs.  I think we can pretty much supply your basic website, such as this one, at the price we've mentioned.  If you desire something additional, we'll let you know if it will cost you more before we proceed.  We don't like surprises either.

Maintaining your website after it's finished:

We will design and maintain your website for you.  You would need to have the proper software to build or make any changes to your site on your own.  If you had that already, you probably wouldn't be reading this and would be considering building your website yourself.  The expense and learning hassles of that aren't for everyone and that's why we are here. 

Once we complete your original package to your satisfaction it's posted online.  It can sit there without any changes for as long as you keep paying the monthly hosting fees and keep the domain name registered.  It's not likely that you will do that however as changes will more than likely need to be made every so often. 

At the present time we charge a minimum of 25.00 per hour to make any needed changes to your website.  That doesn't mean that we sit here with a stopwatch timing every little thing however.  We don't work that way.  We could end up working on something for hours and still not charge you but for part of an hour or an hour.  I think you'll find us most reasonable. Most of our clients will not be needing to make lots of changes anyway but, if you do, we can do them for you. 

Say you want to change some wording, change some pictures etc.  Just contact us and let us know what you need and we will take it from there.  Normally we can change them right away.  Once the changes are made, you'll be able to visit your website and confirm that it's what you wanted.  It's just that simple and easy to have your own website and not have to worry about it yourself.  Besides, it's probably going to be cheaper to let us make the changes as opposed to having to try and fix something that might occur with someone else working on a site we have built for you.

If this will be your first website, it may not seem so simple.  Been there, done that.  We'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or to talk with you more about what's needed to get you up and online.  Don't be afraid to ask us questions.  We want to serve you.  If we can't provide you with an immediate answer, we'll certainly try our best to find out for you and get back with you as soon as possible.  Typical costs will be as follows: (subject to change of course)

• Domain Name:  10.00 per year recurring fee.
• Monthly hosting:  5.00 per month recurring fee.
• Website construction:  Varies but is a one time fee.
• Maintenance:  25.00 per hour minimum...as needed.
